GUANTÁNAMO

Founded in 1797. it’s the 10th largest province in Cuba. Famous for its mountain range Sierra Maestra , the highest mountain range in Cuba. It is considered the hottest zone in Cuba. It has two airports, Guantanamo and Baracoa and the most important cities are Guantanamo, Baracoa, Yateras, Niceto Perez, Caimanera and Imeas.

BARACOA

It is the first city of Cuba. Christopher Columbus landed in this city in 1492. The city was then baptized as Puerto Santo and to commemorate the discovery a cross was erected named Cruz de Parra, which is the earliest Christian symbol still remaining in America. In 1962 a 148 km road was built to communicate with Guantanamo.  In the centre of the city there is an antique display of houses with Spanish style walls built back in the XVIII and XIX century,  There is also natural beauty such as the Boca del Rio Miel ( Honey River mouth) and the Tibaracon (delta) de Macaguanigua.
