Travelled to Cuba in Jan/Feb 2008 and had a fantastic time. We stayed at Hotel Los Frailes and despite a few hiccups with the bookings etc (the hotel overbooked) the staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were a little dark but were very clean, comfortable and modern but with character. The day tours to Veradero and Vinales were also enjoyable but none of them actually ran to schedule. I personally found the Tropicana Show to be a little too touristy for my liking and there were difficulties in trying to get a table for the entire group, despite it being booked well in advance. A visit to Casa De La Musica allowed for a far greater insight in to the Cuban dance and music culture. The dance lessons with the professional dance troupe were also a fantastic experience and excellent fun!! Overall I felt the Cuban people were very friendly and that it was a safe place to travel to. ;

Havana Tours and Travel organised a custom tour for our family. The service provided by Katia was second to none - very professional and organised. The holiday was fantastic and went off without a hitch ! Thank you for arranging our holiday of a lifetime.
We loved the old cars and buildings in Havana and the cobblestone streets of Trinidad. Vinales was breathtaking and the Old Fort in Santiago De Cuba was spectacular. The beaches at Veradero were beautiful. The people in Cuba are very friendly and we felt very safe travelling there. We had a great time !!!!!;

Jan/Feb 2008 The Salsa/Cha Cha/Samba dance workshops with the dancers from the professional troupe were fantastic and the highlight of our trip. This was "a true Cuban experience". The sightseeing day-tours were also extremely enjoyable. The City tour was shortened because the pick up from our hotel was late by over an hour, but the combination of walking and bus worked well. Hotel Los Frailes was charming and the staff very helpful. We did have a few problems with lost luggage and lost bookings (hotel) in our tour group and it was very fortunate that Israel & Lauren were there to help us out with Spanish. It was also fantastic that Israel accompanied us to the workshops and walked us around the city away from Vieja Habana. We enjoyed the tour very much and the cost was very reasonable. Loved the people and that fact that is safe. The week-end markets were a real treasure trove for buying souveniers. We didn't get to the Museo De La Revolucion and perhaps that could be included in the itinerary. We drank the most delicious hot chocolate in the whole world at the Chocolate Museum (Vieja Hababa). The Mohitos were also the best you could ever have! It was a delightful experience and so interesting to see the historic buildings and experience the culture and wonderful music (such talented people;
